Arctic Region Supercomputing Center (ARSC) HRRR forecastdata

Postby glenn.rolph » November 13th, 2012, 10:40 am

The Arctic Region Supercomputing Center (ARSC) High Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) is an evolving prototype for an Alaska-grown implementation of a NWP forecast that parallels the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory's HRRR initiative for the 48 contiguous United States. The model domain is 1050x1050x51 (over 56 million) grid points at 3km horizontal resolution. We currently run four 24-hour forecasts per day. The HRRR forecast data for the Alaska region is being produced by the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center and made available in HYSPLIT format at:

Thank you for posting this information.

I am the one who runs the Alaska HRRR and manages the products. It's mostly unfunded work, so there are limits in what we can provide. Nevertheless, we like it when people find us useful. Please feel free to contact me directly about this data at
