This position is aimed to improve the capabilities of existing atmospheric dispersion models to stimulate local and regional pollen and seed dispersion, deposition, and outcrossing. Models will be converted to an online tool so stakeholders can easily access and use.
Duties and Responsibilities: Measure and model plants atmospheric gene flow, including pollen and seed release, dispersion, deposition and outcrossing. Analyze measured data and model results, and prepare written material for project reports, publications, and proposals.
Required Education and Experience: BS, MS, PhD in Atmospheric Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience in writing and/or publishing of manuscripts, dispersion modeling, and programming. Prospective candidates need to have a strong background in atmospheric dispersion modeling, as well as extensive IT and programming skills.
Proposed start date: open until a suitable candidate is hired. Salary: is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
